We recently presented you the top 100 Bulgarian employers according to the number of IT employees in their IT departments. Today we are reviewing the organizations that have indicated in their profile on the H512.com job board that their head office is outside the country. Again, we have ranked them according to the number of IT experts in all IT teams, without including additional criteria such as annual turnover and total number of employees.
So what does our ranking show after a detailed analysis of nearly 1,260 companies hiring in Bulgaria? As of March 2, 2023, the 100 organizations headquartered abroad employ exactly 29,549 IT employees, and there are a total of 1,051 active career and development listings.
Methodology and limitations of our study:
— Data are officially submitted by the companies. Some of them also include IT support positions.
— We define as foreign the companies that indicated that their head office is outside Bulgaria.
— Companies are ranked only by the number of IT employees in their IT teams. Their turnover, total number of employees or other indicators are not taken into account.
— The ranking is based on data from the H512.com Job Board, which includes over 1,200 IT employers.
All companies in our ranking have an office in the capital except Viscomp, whose IT experts work in the City of Tepetat. A significant proportion of organisations (72%) have just one office in the country, and nearly 16% have two. IT employees at SoftServe, Sutherland Global Services, CluneTech and Broadcom work from three offices, while DIGITALL, EPAM, Endava, Adastra, FFW, Coca-Cola HBC and MentorMate have more than 3 locations in Bulgaria.
Speaking of geographic location, we couldn’t help but review which countries these companies come from. More than half of them are headquartered in three countries – the US (35%), the UK (19%) and Germany (16%). But there are many other countries that rely on Bulgarian IT talent: Switzerland(SoftwareOne, Louis Dreyfus, Luxoft), Cyprus(YNV Group), Ireland(Experian, Accenture, PokerStars), France(Atos, Codix, Ubisoft, Gameloft, Proxiad), Canada(Nuvei), Israel(SolarEdge, Matrix Global Services, Cognyte, Tarya Fintech), Spain(Amadeus), Italy(UniCredit Bulbank), Denmark(Milestone Systems), the Netherlands(WebPros) and Belgium(KBC Global Services, Effortel), with two companies in our rankings listing two headquarters – Acronis in Switzerland and Singapore and Energize Global Services (EGS) in the US and Armenia.
But wherever they come from, and wherever they will continue to come from, more importantly, they are expanding their IT teams and offering over 1,000 current opportunities, which you can see at any time on H512.com’s job board.
