DataArt, the global technology company that designs, develops and supports software solutions, has officially announced that it is expanding its operations in the Balkan Peninsula with the opening of its new office in Serbia. For this purpose, DataArt will partner with the Serbian company Software Nation, which is based in Belgrade.

DataArt‘s expansion into the region is part of the company’s plan to geographically diversify its business and increase its global reach. The opening of the new office is also a result of the growing demand for digital transformation software solutions and services in the region.

The Belgrade office will leverage Software Nation’s existing infrastructure and the expertise of its highly skilled engineers, while also establishing DataArt’s presence in the Belgrade labour market and increasing the number of employees there.

The head of DataArt’s Serbian office will be Eric Matthew Popovic, a professional with over 10 years of experience and a strong contribution to the development of the IT sector in Serbia. He takes over as Senior Vice President DataArt Balkans.

“I am very excited about the opening of the DataArt office in Serbia. We are ready to launch large-scale outsourcing projects where we can apply DataArt’s strong experience and best practices in developing software solutions for clients in various industries,” said Popovic.

“We are relying on local professionals who are highly skilled and will help DataArt grow in the new location. We believe that we will consolidate our presence in Belgrade because of the well-developed IT sector and the solid technological potential of the country and the region,” added Mihail Zavilejski, Organizational Development Director at DataArt.

DataArt will start active operations in Serbia by the end of April 2022. 40 employees are currently employed there , with the goal of reaching 100 in the next few months.

The Belgrade office is the second on the Balkan Peninsula for the company. In 2016, DataArt opened its first office in the region, which is positioned in Sofia.
