Beyond salary and requirements, one of the things that invariably has a reserved place in job postings and the recruitment process is benefits for IT employees. That’s why every company on H512.com’s Job Board can note whether they offer longer paid annual leave, have a home office option, flexible working hours, additional health insurance, a sports card, meal vouchers, training to develop their specialists and much more.
But what do people expect and what is most valuable to them among all these options? According to a survey* we conducted among our audience, 53.3% cited telecommuting as the top benefit when choosing a position.

Also in the top 3 were the ability to work flexible hours and supplemental health insurance that makes doctor’s appointments easier. At the same time, interest in training, sports passes and food vouchers remains lower.
But are employee expectations meeting the real offers in the IT industry? From the data** submitted by companies to our Job Board, the answer to the question is more like yes.
Homeoffice is acceptable for the majority of IT companies. Some do prefer employees to visit the workplace, including for a certain number of days of the week, but do not rule out other options.

In the hybrid work model, employees can stay at home on some days of the week and must be in the office on the rest. This is a requirement in nearly 33% of companies, and in some places it is only allowed with additional negotiation. Only 6.5 percent have no such practice at all and expect employees to be physically present, primarily because their business requires it.

In addition, most companies offer the standard 20 days paid annual leave at the time of joining, which is also specified as a minimum in the Labour Code.
Most companies offer partially flexible working, followed by companies with fully flexible working. At the same time, there are those who indicate that they offer both. They are almost as numerous as those with fixed working hours.
In some places there is an option to increase this after the end of the probationary period or for each subsequent year spent with the company.

Other top benefits offered by most companies include team building, supplementary health insurance, monthly sports card and certification courses. In comparison, meal vouchers and the option of a mobile phone or device subscription plan are not as common.
