Full Stack Developer

Zimoti.com is on a mission to make buying and renting property in Bulgaria simpler, more transparent, and more efficient. Our platform empowers users to discover their next home while helping estate agencies gain real-time insights and track listing performance. We are a small, highly skilled team with big ambitions and deep involvement in Bulgaria’s startup ecosystem.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Be a key contributor to a high-impact startup with flat hierarchies and shared decision-making.

• Work on projects from scratch with full delivery responsibility.

• Build and scale new features for our platform.

• Participate in the architecture, design, and development of our backend and frontend systems.

• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.

• Build responsive and user-friendly web applications.

• Troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Participate in agile development processes tailored to each project.

• Use modern AI-assisted coding tools (e.g. Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development and streamline repetitive tasks.

• Collaborate effectively in smart pair programming environments enhanced by AI tooling.

Tech Stack

• Backend: Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate, Gradle, PostgreSQL, AWS (ECS, ALB, RDS, Parameter Store)

• Frontend: Angular 15+, TypeScript, SCSS, Angular Material, HTML, CSS/Flexbox

• DevOps/Infra: Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Flyway

• Other Tools: Jira, Confluence, Git

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.

• Proven experience building RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Strong front-end development skills with Angular 2+ and TypeScript.

• Solid understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Experience with JWT authentication and Spring Security.

• Familiarity with infrastructure and deployment in AWS environments.

• Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD (Jenkins), and database migration tools (Flyway).

• Good level of English and excellent problem-solving skills.

• Eagerness to learn, take ownership, and continuously improve.

• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor or Windsurf, and the ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated code.
