Automated QA Engineer (with AI Integration Potential)

As an Automated QA Engineer at Years, your core mission will be to ensure the quality and reliability of our digital platforms—our consumer-facing subscription flow, QA tooling, and backend systems. While test automation is the primary focus, you’ll also have the exciting opportunity to explore AI‑driven test generation, analysis, and intelligent QA workflows, helping Years scale in a smart, innovative way.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, and backend systems
• Create and manage test cases, scripts, and execution plans
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor, analyze, and report on test execution results
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure requirements are testable and high quality
• Investigate and resolve test failures, identifying root causes
• Explore opportunities to use AI for test generation, maintenance, and analysis (optional but encouraged)

Requirements

• Proven experience in automated QA engineering (2+ years preferred)
• Strong skills with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar
• Experience testing REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Solid understanding of software testing best practices
• Proficiency in a programming language commonly used in test automation (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java)
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice to Have (AI Focus)

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools or frameworks
• Python
• Understanding of machine learning model testing and evaluation
• Knowledge of prompt engineering or working with AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
• Interest in applying AI to automate repetitive QA tasks
