Workster is partnering with a leading client in the financial technology sector to find a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Developer.
In this role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing, and maintaining quantitative tools, models, and applications to support trading, risk management, and financial research initiatives. Your Role:
Design, develop, and maintain quantitative models, libraries, and analytical tools.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Python, Excel VBA, and SQL.
Collaborate with quants, analysts, and traders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enhance development workflows.
Ensure system performance, scalability, and stability in a Linux-based environment.
Debug, monitor, and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to uphold high coding standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in quantitative development.
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Quantitative Developer, Software Engineer, or in a similar role.
Proficiency in Python programming, with experience using libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
Advanced VBA skills for building and maintaining Excel-based financial models.
Strong SQL experience for querying and managing relational databases.
Expertise in Linux systems, including shell scripting and process management.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
Familiarity with source control systems like Git.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Understanding of risk management, trading strategies, or financial modeling concepts.
