Senior Golang Developer

We seek an experienced Golang developer to enhance our backend team focused on cloud-native PaaS applications. The successful candidate will be an impactful individual contributor who actively helps define and implement technical standards, best practices, and architectural patterns, ensuring high-quality solutions and team growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Design, develop, and optimize highly scalable and reliable containerized services using Golang
• Leverage Kubernetes and Helm best practices, including developing Kubernetes operators for automation.
• Design and implement efficient message-driven architectures.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain coding standards and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure and DevOps, to define APIs, services, backend architectures, and cloud-native solutions aligned with business and technical goals.
• Ensure alignment with business and technical goals, providing input on architectural decisions, system design, and technology choices.
• Participate actively in Agile methodologies.
• Keep abreast of emerging cloud-native trends.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, including operators and Helm packaging.
• Solid understanding of messaging systems and message-driven architectures.
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts (networking, load balancing, monitoring, storage).
• Experience with observability solutions (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to mentor developers, promoting technical excellence.
• Experience developing reliable SaaS applications requiring high availability.
• Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with cloud-native application development practices.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
• Bonus Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with OpenShift, OpenStack, or similar environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or equivalent).
