QA Lead – Playwright & Cloud Technologies

We are looking for a QA Lead with expertise in Playwright and cloud technologies to lead a team of five QA engineers in ensuring the quality and reliability of a custom cloud solution. In this role, you will define the testing strategy, establish automation best practices, and drive quality assurance in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-performance and scalable solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Lead a team of 5 QA engineers, mentoring and guiding them in automation and test strategy.
• Design develop, and maintain an automated test framework using Playwright for web applications.
• Define and implement a comprehensive test strategy, including functional, performance, security, and cloud-based testing.
• Ensure test automation coverage across UI, API, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing for cloud-based applications.
• Identify, track, and report issues while driving improvements in QA processes.
• Advocate for best testing practices and continuously improve testing methodologies.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility testing for web applications.
• Stay updated on emerging QA automation trends and cloud testing advancements.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2+ years as a QA Lead
• Strong expertise in Playwright for UI and API test automation
• Deep knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience in testing cloud-native applications (microservices, containerized environments)
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6, Gatling, Artillery)
• Familiarity with security testing principles and compliance standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Nice to have:

• Experience with IaC testing (Terraform, CloudFormation validation)
• Knowledge of network and API security testing in cloud environments
• Background in testing distributed systems and cloud-based applications
• Experience in load and stress testing for high-scale cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and Kubernetes testing strategies.
