    Mission of the Role: Experienced technical leader adept at leading strategic program management, who drives complex sub-projects in the disciplines of Hardware and System throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring successful execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role works with the larger team to surpass customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery of sub-projects while meeting financial objectives. Lead specific hardware and system scope within a larger multidisciplinary project with a program management mindset, responsible for successfully delivering and acting as the main customer interface.

    Key Objectives of this Role:

    • Develop and maintain control over all the Program management elements of its sub-project, e.g.;
    • High-level timing plan & Strategy to meet the defined Visteon and Customer milestones;
    • Visteon Development Process Compliance, e.g., Gate Deliverables, Process Assurance, ASPICE,  Advanced Quality Product Planning (APQP), and customer deviation approval;
    • Risks, Defects, Quality indicators & Escalations;
    • Budget and Staff Planning;
    • Any other sub-project-specific elements;
    • Cross-functional dependencies and Dynamic prioritization;
    • Represents and explains to customers specific technical problems.
    • Requirements compliance and test coverage;
    • Field Issues resolution and post-launch support;
    • Quality (product, deliverables, and processes).

    Key Performance Indicators:

    • Program Execution and Monitoring: Lead & drive program execution, monitoring progress, and tracking internal & external milestones, to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, & quality outcomes. Provides leadership to program teams, promoting effective decision-making, resolving Cross-functional dependencies on priority, conducting the required tasks, providing the required attention and support in procuring the program-specific infrastructure well in advance, driving requirements compliance and test coverage, leading a structured approach to problem-solving, and triggering preventive actions at the program level. Budget and staff tracking.
    • Customer Focus: Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with Customers and Cross-Functional stakeholders as the primary contact for end-to-end program-related activities, using impactful communication across different functions. Be the primary contact for the Customer. Effectively communicates and clarifies complex technical issues to customers, leveraging specialized support from individual technical experts. Supports the team in getting the formal customer alignment and deviation approval, and documents it at the Program level.
    • Change Management: Managing program changes and scope creep by effectively evaluating and communicating the impacts of changes on timelines, resources, and costs with all cross-functional stakeholders.
    • Risk Management: Identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks to minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Managing escalations (internal & external)
    • Innovation and Technology Adoption: Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, as well as associated risks and implications early enough, and supporting each skill to mitigate early enough to enhance program management effectiveness and efficiency.

    Key Year One Deliverables:

    • Define Project Scope and Milestones for Hardware Development and Systems Engineering.
    • Lead Design and Development of Automotive Hardware Components;
    • Ensure Compliance with Automotive Industry Standards;
    • Manage Cross-Functional Collaboration;
    • Oversee Prototype Development and Testing Phases;
    • Ensure Hardware Quality and Reliability Standards;
    • Document and Report Project Progress to Stakeholders;
    • Drive Continuous Improvement in Hardware and System Processes.

    Qualification, Experience, and Skills: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in the Electrical area;
    • Several years of professional experience in program & project management in the automotive industry;
    • Experience in leading bigger development teams located in different countries;
    • Know-how in project management (ideally PRINCE / PMP);
    • Excellent understanding of development and production processes within the automotive industry, with experience in Hardware Design and Testing;
    • Leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, and assertiveness;
    • High level of autonomy and accountability;
    • Strong project management discipline – Planning & Execution, Communication, Strategy;
    • Strong communication skills, high customer orientation, and team spirit.
    • Analytically structured expertise;
    • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Project, and JIRA and Confluence;
    • Fluent in English.
