Mission of the Role:

Experienced technical leader adept at leading strategic program management, who drives complex projects – Change Management, Configuration Management and Supplier Management – throughout program lifecycle, ensuring successful execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction., within the Volkswagen Group Project Execution Team.
This role works with the larger team to surpass customer expectations in cost, quality, and delivery on project while meeting financial objectives.
Lead specific Change Management scope (project) within a larger multidisciplinary program with Program Management mindset having the responsibility to successfully deliver acting as main Customer interface.

Key Objectives of this Role:

• Develop and maintain control over all the Program Management elements of Suppliers and Sample Swim Lane, e.g.:
• Timing plan & Strategy to meet the defined Visteon and Customer milestones
• Cascade Customer requirements for each milestone into release plan and SSOW
• VPDS Process Compliance, e.g., Gate Deliverables, PAD, Vistway, ASPICE.
• Risks, Defects, Quality indicators & Escalations.
• Budget and Staff Planning.
• VPDS and Vistway assigned to Configuration and Integration Project Manager
• Manages and controls Product Configuration.
• Performs GBC releases in alignment with customer / program milestones.
• Manages BOM, gathering inputs from other project managers including specification, drawings and status of readiness for procurement and release into GBC.
• Change Notices (CN) and Temporary Changes (TC) releases in GBC.
• IMDS requests in GBC and follow-up.
• Manage sample delivery activities, plan and define critical milestones in line with internal/external customer requirements. Includes customer samples, and DV/PV and homologation samples production.
• Includes coordinating with Procurement and MP&L to get the necessary components samples, manufacturing/assembly of samples and prototypes (production plant and/or ESC), and work with MP&L for the delivery to the required destination (Customer / internal or external lab).
• Works with Launch Engineers and MP&L to oversee Samples/Prototypes budget execution.
• Will support Program Lead on change management and other integration and coordination activities.

Key Accountabilities:

• Configuration & Integration Program Execution and Monitoring
  • Owns product Configuration managing diversity strategy within internal databases. Track internal & external milestones, to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, & quality outcomes including process compliance. Promotes effective decision-making, leading structured approach to problem solving and triggering preventive actions at project level.
• Customer Focus
  • Proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with Customers and Cross Functional stakeholders as the primary contact for end-to-end program-related activities, using impactful communication across different functions. Be the primary contact for the Customer for Configuration related topics.
• Change Management
  • Executing program changes and scope creep by effectively evaluating and communicating the impacts of changes on timelines, resources, and costs with all Cross Functional stakeholders.
• Risk Management
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating program risks to minimize their impact on project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Managing escalations (internal & external)
• Innovation and Technology Adoption
  • Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance program management effectiveness and efficiency.

Specific responsibilities for the project Configuration & Configuration:

• Lead tasks and deliver outputs according to the VPDS by Maturity Phases
• Ownership of Product Configuration
• Lead BOM Release
• Manages BOM, gathering inputs from other project managers including readiness for procurement and release into GBC
• IMDS requests in GBC
• Coordinate MDS team on timely and quality release
• Manages and controls Product Configuration
• Manage GBC releases in alignment with customer / program milestones
• Change Notices (CN) and Temporary Changes (TC) releases in GBC
• Manage Royalties / Licenses
• Coordinate technical documentation, including best practices and lessons learned
• Follow Project Management Process and Tools
• Drive work item status update in the central planning database (eP, JIRA)
• Responsible to execute the Epics is JIRA defined by Program Manager and drill down the activities
• Create Stories and Actions as necessary to achieve the Epic objectives and deadline

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Several years of professional experience in program & project management, including at least six years in the automotive industry
• Experience in leading bigger development teams located in different countries
• Know-how in project management (ideally PRINCE / PMP)
• Excellent understanding of development and production processes within the automotive industry
• Leadership, entrepreneurial thinking and assertiveness
• High level of autonomy and accountability
• Strong project management discipline – Planning & Execution, Communication, Strategy
• Strong communication skills, high customer orientation and team spirit
• Analytical-structured expertise
• Knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project + JIRA
