Environmental (Climatic and Mechanical) Test Engineer

Mission of the role: Analyze, perform, and review environmental tests and data. Support the ISO 17025 accreditation.

Key Objectives of this Role:

• Ensure climatic/vibration tests are executed to customer specifications, maintain test data integrity, evaluate results, and report data to customers in a timely manner;
• Work with the Product Development Engineering team in order to understand the specific test setup requirements;
• Evaluate test plans and create test sheets in line with test request requirements;
• Support ISO 17025 accreditation and OEM recognition programs;
• Ensure quality and validity of data during test sequences. Prepare and review Test Reports to meet customer requirements, providing interim data and completed reports in a timely manner;
• Develop new tests in accordance with OEM/ISO/IEC specifications;
• Develop lab capability to support new technologies and methods;
• Develop, update, and maintain Test software;
• Lead / Contribute towards continuous improvement activities;
• Keep up-to-date with test standards and practices;
• Support the development of local work instructions;
• Investigate and assist in the resolution of customer complaints;
• Ensure all equipment used for testing purposes is suitably calibrated prior to use.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering;
• Problem-solving;
• Understanding of lab test equipment including Electro-dynamic shakers, Environmental chambers, Data Acquisition systems, etc.;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Very good English level (written and spoken).

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Associate Manager of the Climatic and Mechanical team.
