Mission of the Role: As an EMC Design & Simulation Engineer at Visteon, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering EM-compliant product designs.
Key Objectives of this Role: As an EMC Design & Simulation Engineer at Visteon, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering EM-compliant product designs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop Requirement based EMC design concepts
Creating EMC design plans for various projects.
Conducting Technical Design Reviews with internal teams and external customers.
Planning and conducting pre-compliance EMC testing and resolving issues.
Documenting product EMC evolution and generating comprehensive reports.
Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Defining High-Speed design constraints for various interfaces.
Analyzing signal integrity, timing, and power delivery networks.
Performing 3DEM analysis and EMC/Field simulations.
Verifying simulation models and implementing PCB layout constraints.
Conducting Schematic and PCB layout reviews.
Correlating simulation with measurement results.
Participating in process improvement initiatives.
Expectations:
The ideal candidate for this role is a motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple projects in a global organization. You should be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and approach challenges with a problem-solving mindset. Strong organizational and planning skills are essential.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A degree in communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field (MSEE preferred).
2-3 years of experience in the automotive, aerospace, or industrial domains.
At least experience in EMC test or EMC design (iNARTE or other EMC certification is a plus).
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting EMC issues, both in test setups and product design.
Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Competencies:
In addition to the qualifications listed above, the following competencies are highly desirable:
Expertise in 2D, 2.5D, and 3D EM simulation tools like Hyper Lynx, CST Studio, or similar.
Strong skills in Signal Integrity, Timing Analysis, and Power Integrity.
Hands-on experience in High-Speed measurements and correlation to simulation.
EMC simulation experience and result analysis is a plus.
Global working experience and a good understanding of cross-country cultural aspects.
