We are currently expanding our Internal IT Support team and looking for a Junior System Administrator to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for operational support, onboarding new members, and maintaining the company’s hardware and software infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
User & Access Management: Setting up, configuring, and managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights; handling the technical onboarding of new members and offboarding processes.
Workstation Maintenance: Installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops and laptops (Windows, Linux, and macOS); troubleshooting hardware and software issues to ensure smooth daily operations.
Network Services: Setting up and maintaining Proxy and VPN services to ensure secure remote connectivity; assisting with general network troubleshooting.
Asset Management: Purchasing end-user hardware; keeping a strict inventory of hardware and software assets; managing the logistics of sending and receiving packages for external/remote use.
Documentation: Creating and maintaining detailed documentation of IT infrastructure, internal processes, and inventory.
Vendor & Remote Support: Working closely with external vendors and repair services; providing remote support to colleagues abroad and collaborating with other teams via remote connections.
Requirements:
Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in System or Network administration / IT Support.
OS Proficiency: Strong practical knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems for everyday use and administration. Knowledge of macOS is required.
Technical Skills: Good understanding of networking concepts and general IT support practices; skills for diagnosing and solving hardware problems.
Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with international teams.
Languages: Very good command of English (written and spoken).
The following will be considered an advantage:
Experience administering LDAP / Active Directory and Backup solutions.
Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or BASH) and working with databases.
Experience in administering Debian and FreeBSD systems or Linux virtualization solutions.
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, and/or Maven.
Knowledge of mail delivery systems.
