Working hours

The role can be fully remote but preferably is based in Sofia BG with the expectation that you will be available for meetings during EET hours.

Why this opportunity is exciting

As a Backend Engineer, you will work on the product development of SEE’s first fully digital insurance marketplace and brokerage. You will be responsible for building a world class customer-first product while working through the ambiguity of launching and prioritizing across multiple products and markets.

To help with this effort, we are looking for a mid/senior backend engineer who is driven, passionate and has a strong sense of ownership.

About the Role

As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing APIs, services, integrations with our partners, internal frameworks and libraries.

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced development manager to translate the business needs into functional services. You will also collaborate with our backend and frontend developers to ensure that the APIs and services integrate seamlessly with our frontend.

Requirements

* At least 2 years of professional experience with PHP

* Good knowledge of PHP and JavaScript/NodeJS.

* Knowledge of databases – SQL.

* Knowledge of software development principles

* Good communication skills

* English – written
