Backend Engineer

We seek a highly motivated Backend Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with QA Engineers and Product Managers within cross-functional squads, playing a crucial role in developing and maintaining scalable microservices for our cloud-based payment platform. Your contributions will directly impact the system’s reliability and performance, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

• A relevant educational background with a technical major (e.g., Engineering, Information Technologies, or Computer Science);
• 3+ years of experience in Java development;
• Experience with JavaEE and Spring Boot;
• Knowledge of MySQL;
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including TDD, Clean Code, and Refactoring;
• Familiarity with CI/CD;
• Business-fluent English;
• Self-motivation and a strong ability to solve complex problems with a results-driven approach;
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in a dynamic environment;
• An analytical mindset and the ability to grasp new subject matter quickly;
• Nice to have: experience with microservices, Spring MVC, cloud environments (AWS), and an understanding of the payment industry.

• Development of new, innovative concepts and applications in our cloud-based payments platform;
• Participation in the design and implementation of our overall solutions architecture;
• Designing and developing solutions in the cloud environment;
• Ensuring a high-quality codebase, writing and running automation tests, and monitoring services;
• Collaborating with QA Engineers and Product Owners in cross-functional squads;
• Staying up to date with industry trends and technology developments;
• Identifying and resolving customer feedback, support requests, and performance issues.
