Purpose of the Role

As a Technology Architect within our Cloud and DevOps squads, you’ll design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
From Azure and Kubernetes to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code, you’ll guide engineering teams in bringing robust, efficient architectures to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all technical designs and implementation plans align with the Company’s Strategy, including Cyber Security, IT Service Management, and Quality First principles.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation, supporting knowledge sharing and consistency within the Enterprise Architecture community.
• Translate enterprise and solution architectures into detailed, practical designs that maximise value and performance.
• Work closely with Business Analysts, Engineers, and Product Teams to ensure alignment between architecture and delivery outcomes.
• Promote the modernisation of systems and infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and resilience.
• Analyse strategic trends and contribute to shaping future-state technology architecture, principles, and roadmaps.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies that enable transformation and modernisation.
• Develop and present architecture deliverables and recommendations to relevant governance boards.

Scope of Technology

• Your architectural leadership will cover Cloud and DevOps platforms, including:
• Microsoft Azure, Containers, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Enterprise-scale applications, API gateways, high-availability and disaster recovery architectures
• RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and secure access design
• CI/CD pipelines and automated production deployment strategies
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, observability, and provisioning
• Applying Cloud and DevOps principles to optimise on-prem workloads and support workload migration to cloud environments
• Supporting application re-architecture for cloud-native operations

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and product-aligned environments
• In-depth knowledge of TOGAF principles and practical application
• Demonstrated experience designing and supporting hyperscale cloud architectures and containerised microservices
• Background in DevOps transformation and adoption of automation practices
• Understanding of software development and infrastructure management concepts, including FinOps and performance monitoring
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers and Professional Services Partners
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Terraform

Preferred Certifications:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Docker Certified Associate (DCA)
• Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
• Terraform Associate Certification
