    Where you Fit In:

    We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior SysOps Engineer to lead and mentor our SysOps team, operating in a tightly regulated industry. You will be responsible for tackling complex technical challenges, designing, and implementing scalable solutions, and driving innovation within our infrastructure while ensuring adherence to strict compliance and regulatory standards.​

    ​The impact you will have:

    ​Technical Leadership: Lead complex projects involving multiple technologies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.​

    Infrastructure Optimization: Identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that enhance performance, security, and cost-effectiveness while maintaining regulatory compliance.​

    Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend new technologies or approaches, ensuring they align with compliance requirements and industry best practices.​

    Mentorship: Work with your Team Lead to guide and mentor more junior team members, fostering their growth and development while emphasizing the importance of compliance and continuous improvement.​

    Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives, documenting best practices, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and process adherence within the team.​

    Collaboration: Partner with other teams, for example DevOps, DBA, Infosec, and Dev, adhering to cross-functional processes to ensure alignment and successful project delivery while maintaining compliance.​

    Compliance: Advocate for and ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.​

    Continuous Improvement: Champion the “kaizen” philosophy, leading the team in identifying and implementing small, frequent improvements that enhance our systems and processes.​

    ​What we’re looking for:

    ​Extensive experience required: Proven track record of 5+ years in systems administration, with expertise in Linux, virtualization with VMware. ​​

    Knowledge preferred: Networking, cloud infrastructure (AWS), configuration management with Ansible and Gitlab, infrastructure orchestration with Terraform. ​

    Advanced Skills: Deep understanding of system architecture, performance tuning, security best practices, and automation, with a focus on compliance in a regulated environment.​

    Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a knack for identifying and resolving complex technical challenges while adhering to established procedures.​

    Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members in a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.​

    Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences, advocating for compliance and process adherence, especially during on-call situations.​

    Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of compliance.​

    Continuous Improvement: A passion for identifying and implementing incremental improvements, fostering a culture of “kaizen” within the team.​

    Availability: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, with occasional after-hours availability for emergencies.​
