    About the job Ref180325119RC Lead UX/UI Designer

    We are looking for a Lead UX/UI Designer with deep expertise in Design Systems, Figma, Tokens, and Accessibility to drive the design system strategy and ensure a cohesive, accessible, and scalable user experience across the platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the Client’s Design System (a component-based system that ensures UI consistency across all molecular work areas and automation solutions.)

    Responsibilities:

    Design System Leadership

    • Drive the evolution of the Design System of the Client, ensuring scalability, accessibility, and consistency across multiple business areas.
    • Define and maintain design tokens and component libraries in Figma, ensuring they align with material design principles and industry standards.
    • Advocate for accessibility best practices (WCAG, ARIA) to create inclusive and compliant digital experiences.
    • Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Developers, and Product Owners to implement and optimize design system components.

    Product and UI/UX Design

    • Lead the design strategy for the Pooling Instrument Manager and Workflow Manager graphical interfaces.
    • Attend elaboration sessions with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to shape design decisions.
    • Translate complex product requirements into user-friendly wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
    • Prepare designs for user testing, gather feedback, and iterate based on user and stakeholder input.
    • Conduct design critiques and provide feedback to improve overall UI/UX quality.
    • Ensure proper handoff of design specifications to development teams and perform design reviews on development output.

    Collaboration and Process Improvement

    • Partner with R&D, PMO, and requirements teams to align design decisions with business and technical needs.
    • Support project teams in defining User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and
    • Storyboards when required.
    • Lead efforts to improve design quality, efficiency, and documentation across teams.
    • Actively participate in design jam sessions and manage component issue tracking in GitHub.

    Requirements:

    • 7+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, with a focus on Design Systems, Tokens, and Accessibility.
    • Strong expertise in Figma, including design tokens, component libraries, and auto-layout.
    • Deep understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA) and best practices.
    • Proven experience developing and maintaining large-scale design systems in an enterprise environment.
    • Solid understanding of Google Material Design principles.
    • Experience in user testing, prototyping, and UI iteration based on feedback.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and research.
    • Strong communication skills to present ideas verbally and in writing to stakeholders.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience working with medical or scientific software interfaces.
    • Familiarity with GitHub for design system management.
    • Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, biotech, or laboratory automation).
    • This role is highly strategic and involves both hands-on design work and cross-functional collaboration to establish scalable and accessible design frameworks.
