We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst in a BI environment. Fluency in German is required, as well as excellent English skills.
Duration: 6 months
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and capture business requirements in the BI and data domain
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI and DWH teams
• Define and document KPIs, metric systems, and reporting requirements
• Validate data and results using SQL analyses (data checks, plausibility checks)
• Contribute to the design of data models (business-logical level)
• Coordinate with Power BI developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders
• Create business concepts, data requirement documents, and user stories
• Support the assurance of data quality and governance
•  Must-have Criteria (functional/technical)
• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst in the BI/data environment
• Very good understanding of BI processes, metric systems, and reporting structures
• Good knowledge of SQL for data analysis and results validation
• Basic understanding of data models and data flows (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema)
•  Experience with Power BI at the user/analysis level (e.g., reading, checking, interpreting reports)
• Experience collaborating with technical roles (data engineer, BI developer)
• Experience in requirements analysis and stakeholder communication
• Experience in agile projects (Scrum / Kanban)

Requirements:

• Very good German and English skills
• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake or Exasol
• Basic knowledge of ETL processes and data integration
• Knowledge of reporting standards (e.g., IBCS)
• Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
• Basic understanding of cloud architectures
• Experience in regulatory or managerial reporting environments
• Analytical and conceptual thinking
• Strong communication skills (business and technical)
• Ability to explain complex topics in an understandable way
• Structured and self-directed working style
• Team orientation and experience in interdisciplinary teams
