Senior Data Engineer

The product:

Our client is a leading premium audio entertainment platform offering ad-free access to exclusive podcasts, a rich library of audiobooks, and global podcast content via RSS feeds—all at an affordable price. They’re currently focused on enhancing their search engine optimization capabilities for podcasts and audiobooks, and we’re supporting them in driving this effort forward.

The role:

We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join the team on a 4–6 month project, with the potential for extension. You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining data infrastructure to support advanced search and discovery features. This is a great opportunity to work on a high-impact, user-facing initiative within a modern data environment.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of designing and optimising data pipelines, contribute to machine learning feature engineering, and help deploy scalable services in a Kubernetes environment. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams in an agile setup, and your expertise will be essential in enabling intelligent search and personalisation features.

What you’ll work on:

● Designing, implementing, and optimizing robust data pipelines

● Feature engineering for data-driven models

● Deploying services in Kubernetes environments

● Managing feature lifetime workflows in the context of ML systems

● Writing efficient, maintainable Python code for data processing

● Collaborating with distributed teams across the EU timezone

What we’re looking for:

● Strong experience in data pipeline development and maintenance

● Hands-on experience with feature engineering

● Experience deploying services using Kubernetes

● Understanding of ML feature lifecycle and workflows

● Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ETL tasks

● Language proficiency: B2/C1 English

Nice to have:

● Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI systems

● Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including tools like BigQuery, Vertex AI, or Dataflow

● Start date: ASAP

● Project duration: 4–6 months

● Working hours: Aligned with EU business hours

● Background: Prep call will be arranged before the interview with the client

● Potential for contract extension
