    About the Company:

Ship.Cars is a U.S.-based software development company that delivers products for the logistics industry. We’re building things to shake up and change the logistics industry. Native mobile apps, data scientists, single-page web applications, and so much more. We don’t shy away from the latest and greatest, and neither should you. The Bulgaria office is the center of the technology behind Ship.Cars building software solutions.

We’re now on the lookout for a Mid-Level UX/UI Designer to bring clarity to complexity, push usability forward, and support real users with real problems. You’ll collaborate with the UX Director, product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to make smart, seamless experiences across our platforms. This is a great role for someone who’s already walked a few UX miles and is ready to sharpen their skills further in a growing design practice.

    About the Role

As a User Experience (UX) Designer, you will work with Product Management and Engineering to push boundaries, build great products, and solve customer problems. You will help build out a UX team and practice working directly with the UX director and stakeholders.

You will help determine the long-term design strategy as well as work on the day-to-day needs.

You will help refine the design system, apply design thinking methods, and work with the dev team to close the loop on implemented design.

You will observe how your designs come to life in a fast-paced environment and have the freedom to choose your own path and work with like-minded innovators and problem-solvers in a flat and transparent organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Interact with end users, customers, and business stakeholders to understand and translate their needs into product requirements. You will take customer insights and turn them into concepts, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to develop the product vision.
    • Strive for clean, focused, and inspiring solutions, designing through all phases of the product cycle. Conceptualize and design original ideas that bring simplicity and ease of use to complex design issues. Design simple and intuitive solutions for complex problems.
    • Leverage creativity, empathy, and problem-solving abilities to achieve both business and user goals.
    • Have a keen eye for details and an appreciation for consistency
    • Appreciate the value of research and consider practical constraints
    • Iterate designs based on feedback from clients.
    • Work on a variety of design languages and implement best practices.
    • Conduct visual QA testing in partnership with the dev team.

    Requirements:

    • 3–5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a solid portfolio showcasing interaction design, systems thinking, and visual polish.
    • Good understanding of human-centered design, usability principles, and product thinking.
    • Proficiency in tools like Figma and comfort working within design systems.
    • Experience applying both qualitative and quantitative insights to your work.
    • Familiarity with accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
    • Great communicator—you express your ideas clearly and can justify your design decisions with logic and empathy.
    • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, with experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
    • A positive mindset, openness to feedback, and willingness to learn and adapt.

    Bottom Line

The ideal candidate will be passionate about designing elegant web and native mobile experiences. Strong collaboration skills are a must, as well as the ability to work under pressure, problem-solving, pay attention to details, and can cope with rapid change.

Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who relishes self-development and has high standards for design aesthetics.
