Senior Software Developer for Cloud service development

The role

We are seeking a development expert (f/m/d) who is enthusiastic and passionate about technology and fascinated by its unlimited possibilities to strengthen our team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of our SAP Continuous Integration & Delivery service and revolutionize the way businesses operate. You will work closely with our team in Walldorf (Germany) to tailor the service to meet SAP customers’ requirements.

What you’ll do

You will contribute to the implementation of best-in-class services for our SAP Business Technology platform by:

• being responsible for development, focusing on concept, design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in an innovative and dynamic environment that is open to new technologies.
• delivering high-quality technical recommendations, proposals, and documentation.
• understanding the requirements of internal SAP stakeholders to implement end-to-end scenarios, starting from ideation to productization.
• ensuring the architectural integrity of solutions.
• supporting your PO, architect, and APO in defining concepts, conducting technical evaluations, and providing effort estimations.
• participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality of deliveries.
• leading or participating in research and proof-of-concept activities.
• providing technical training within teams to enable continuous knowledge growth and share expertise.

 What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, preferably Java, JavaScript or UI5.
• Proficiency with source code management tools like Git, GitHub.
• Strong understanding and experience with cloud providers concepts, organizational models, operational excellence, and best practices, PaaS, and SaaS architectures. Knowledge in SAP Business Technology Platform is an advantage.
• Deep knowledge with CI/CD best practices, automation environments, and tools knowledge like Jenkins.
• Experience with and appreciation of the advantages of software engineering practices and principles, including coding standards, agile (scrum) methodologies, and test-driven development.
• Excellent team player, with strong communication skills, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
