Junior Developer – GenAI CI/CD Tooling

What you`ll do:

Join a hands‑on engineering team building GenAI‑powered, agentic CI/CD tools and services that help database engineers ship features faster and more reliably. Our primary stakeholder is the SAP HANA Database Development organization; your work will accelerate and safeguard how features move from code to production.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ship features for internal GenAI/LLM‑enabled CI/CD tooling—from prototypes to production—so database teams can release with greater confidence.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automations (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Add telemetry and guardrails (e.g., hallucination/cost/latency metrics, SLAs) and iterate based on user feedback to drive adoption.
• Contribute code reviews, technical documentation, and small integrations; learn by pairing with senior engineers and your manager, who is also a hands‑on contributor.
• Partner with engineers in the Database Development organization to gather requirements, prioritize requests, and measure impact.
• Help foster an inclusive, high‑performance team culture through curiosity, and continuous improvement.

What you bring:

• University degree in computer science or a related technical field involving software engineering.
• 0–2 years of software engineering experience (internships and projects welcome).
• Proficiency in Python and comfort with core engineering fundamentals (version control, testing, code reviews).
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts/tools (any of: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Interest in (or exposure to) GenAI/LLM features preferred; enthusiasm to learn agentic system patterns on the job.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with databases and performance‑oriented engineering.
