SUMMARY
We are harmonizing and optimizing SAP’s support & cloud operations processes on a user-centric, innovative platform, focused on delivering a simple, stable, effective and desirable internal (for SAP employees) and external (for SAP customers) customer service management. Central to this effort is analytics and its subsequent data products that also build the foundation for AI. SAP is using the SAP BDC (Business Data Cloud) including the medallion architecture as proposed by the industry (Gold, Silver, Bronze Data Products) by building on top of Databricks and SAP Datasphere.
By creating this solution, we serve all SAP lines of business (e.g. Ariba, Fieldglass, S/4, HCM) and cross teams (e.g. ECS, GCID, CSUP). We are part of SAP’s strategic Focus program designed to help SAP achieve its ambition of becoming the #1 Enterprise Application and Business AI company.
In this context, we are seeking for a Senior Analytics Specialist in the role of a Product Manager for Analytics. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy, ensuring seamless collaboration between platforms, and delivering value to our customers.
Product Management
Product Management is responsible for the success, quality, costs, and delivery of a product as defined in the product portfolio. Drives the product road map and corresponding usage plan inlcuding decisions about in-house developments, purchases, or partnerships on product level. Ensures the delivery of high-quality specifications according to customer and user requirements, with the goal of creating a competitive advantage for SAP. Coordinates the gathering and integration of feedback from different stakeholders, especially from customers. Ensures the maintenance of the product up until a potential handover. Makes a contribution towards efficiency, and data driven decision making.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Product management in our unit is responsible for defining the data products (focus will lie on derived data products) together with business stakeholders as well as data scientists. This will lead to a scalable, well defined analytical landscape that allows our business stakeholders to consume the data that they want, when they want and to move from a data rich and insight poor business to an insight driven business decision process.
Generally product management is responsible for driving the strategic direction, collarboating across teams, leveraging the right data for decision-making and also continuously aligning the product with technical innovations as well as overall cooperate strategy.
