Rubber Duck is a company we built out of passion.

Our goal was to create an environment which lacks the drawbacks we experienced as employees. A place where people approach work with pleasure, code is written with enthusiasm. We focus on assisting digital and advertising agencies. We aim at improving their development process by undertaking the thorough or partial technical production of their projects. We also dedicate individuals and teams for varying lengths of time. Rubber Duck is a good friend to the start up scene – we have witnessed dozens of projects come to life and could be relied upon for user experience, creative, code, analytics and strategy.

A successful Duck possesses:

The position calls for:

• 4+ years of experience with JavaScript and modern ES6+ features
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with React Native (experience with publishing apps is a plus)
• Strong knowledge and experience with React (both class and functional components)
• Solid understanding and practical use of Typescript
• Experience with state management tools
• Experience with a version control system (preferable Git)
• Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs
• Experience with different styling approaches (for example styled components)
• Advanced command of English

We will be extra impressed by:

• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with 3rd-party API Integrations
• Ability to write efficient, clean, and scalable JavaScript code and having an eye for the details
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines fo mobile apps
• Unit testing experience using jest, or even better react-testing library
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimisation and debugging tools
• Experience with Next.js or other frameworks for full-stack JS development
