We are looking for:

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach and can-do attitude.
• Willingness to learn the business behind the code.
• Experience creating web services with Python 3.11+, Django 5.0, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ.
• Experience testing software with pytest + any mocking library.
• Basic understanding of network automation frameworks – Netmiko, Textfsm, Jinja2, Pytos, netconf.
• Basic understanding of bash scripting, Podman, Ansible, GitLab CI/CD.
• Good understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
• Basic written and spoken German (A2).

It would be an advantage if you understand (and yes, you will get to use some or all the below):

• The energy or financial domain, ideally intraday energy markets.
• C4 modelling.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, ideally Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Less orthodox communication protocols – WebSocket, gRPC.
• Monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Logstash, OpenSearch.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Analysis, design, development, testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of automation solutions for critical networking infrastructure (firewalls, web proxies, app gateways, etc.)
• Communicating with clients and users, clarification of requirements.
• Mentoring and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
• Continuous learning and self-development.
