    Are you passionate about Java development and curious about the energy trading market? We’re looking for a Junior ETRM Java Developer/Consultant who will collaborate with our clients to deliver exceptional advisory, implementation, and maintenance services to leading energy market players. This is more than just a coding job – it’s an opportunity to blend your technical skills with business insight and make a real difference in a dynamic industry.

    As part of our team, you’ll spend around 20-30% of your time on business analysis, working closely with clients to define products, processes, and requirements. You’ll analyze system functionality, design solutions within existing software or create new ones, and configure software to meet client needs. If you’re eager to grow your development skills while diving deep into the energy trading sector, this role is perfect for you!

    Founded in 2013, ROITI is a boutique consultancy specializing in energy trading and risk management (ETRM). We have expertise in power, gas, oil, coal, freight, emissions, and financial markets. We are working with leading ETRM IT solutions for some of the biggest energy companies in Europe.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Analysis and Design: Collaborate with senior developers and stakeholders to analyze requirements and design effective solutions.
    • Development: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
    • Configuration and Deployment: Participate in deployment activities and contribute to the ongoing maintenance and support of software solutions.
    • Customer support: Communicate with clients and users to provide technical support and resolve issues promptly.
    • Agile Teamwork: Work within an agile team setup, contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.
    • Adaptability: Embrace a flexible approach to learning and problem-solving, staying open to new ideas and adjusting to changing project needs.

    Qualifications:

    • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
    • Solid understanding of Java.
    • Basic knowledge of SQL databases.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proactive approach with a focus on seeking feedback and support when needed.
    • Eager to learn the business behind the code.
    • Ability to follow Agile practices.
    • Knowledge in the energy and/or finance sectors is an advantage.
