The trainee will support the Process Development Engineer in daily activities related to process optimization, product industrialization, and production improvement projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to real manufacturing environments and is ideal for an engineering student or recent graduate who is eager to gain practical experience in lean manufacturing, process development, and industrial engineering.
Responsibilities:
Assist in data collection and analysis for production performance indicators (efficiency, downtime, scrap rate, etc.).
Support the preparation of process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Participate in line layout design, process flow mapping, and time studies.
Support the implementation of Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Standard Work.
Prepare and maintain reports and visual presentations for ongoing engineering projects.
Assist in trials, product and process validations, and report preparation.
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities within production areas.
Support product and process transfer projects between plants (documentation, measurement, reporting, and coordination).
Cooperate closely with the Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
Qualifications:
Ongoing or completed bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, manufacturing, or related field).
Strong analytical and technical mindset.
Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Basic understanding of lean principles and manufacturing processes.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Fluency in English (minimum B2 level)—written and spoken.
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
Attention to detail and a structured working style.
Previous internship or academic projects related to manufacturing or process improvement.
Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout or process visualization.
Familiarity with Six Sigma / SPC concepts.
