We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Development Engineer to join our Reichle & De-Massari Bulgaria team. As a Process Development Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new processes or enhancements to existing processes
Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for process improvement and optimization within the production environment
Utilize statistical tools and data analysis techniques to evaluate process performance and identify areas for optimization
Lead and participate in process validation and qualification activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase yield, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality
Provide technical expertise and support to production teams, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues
Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate new process technologies or materials
Evaluate and select equipment and technologies to support process development and scale-up activities
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process specifications
Plan and execute product and process transfers between global production sites, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in process development engineering, recommending and implementing best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Proven experience in process development or process engineering within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Experience with process scale-up and technology/product transfer between plants
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate complex technical concepts
At least 3 years of experience in a similar position (as a process/production engineer in manufacturing will be considered a big advantage)
Experience with Lean methodology and tools
Knowledge of measurement instruments and test equipment
Experience with ERP systems (SAP is an advantage)
Excellent command of English – daily communication with foreign colleagues
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment and effectively communicate complex technical concepts
