About the Role
We are looking for a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to join one of our trusted clients. This role focuses on managing and engineering SQL Server environments within a global, high-performance investment firm. You’ll join a skilled infrastructure team responsible for delivering stable, secure, and scalable database operations while supporting automation and integration with modern DevOps and cloud technologies. The position requires deep expertise in SQL Server, performance tuning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
What We are Looking For
5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, working with versions from 2012 to 2022
Proficiency in automation with PowerShell, Python, and T-SQL
Deep knowledge of database availability and recovery solutions
Proven experience in tuning, troubleshooting, and supporting high-availability SQL environments
Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Nice To Have
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other open-source databases
Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB)
Experience creating dashboards and interpreting performance metrics
Interest or background in financial systems or capital markets
