This is an exciting opportunity to join the AHL division as a Quant Developer—a hands-on engineering role focused on building the platforms, tools, and data pipelines that power next-generation trading strategies.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop scalable and robust systems in Python for quantitative research, trading signal generation, and real-time execution;
• Collaborate directly with researchers, traders, and fellow engineers to turn ideas into production-ready tools and services;
• Build and maintain data pipelines using tools like Kafka, Airflow, and ArcticDB to support high-throughput processing of financial market data;
• Contribute to infrastructure initiatives including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins);
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design of distributed, service-based systems;
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices, automation, and system reliability.

Required Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in Python (Java or C++ a plus);
• Experience with Linux-based systems and scripting languages;
• Solid grasp of database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Oracle) and data modeling for large-scale systems;
• Familiarity with scientific computing libraries like pandas, NumPy, SciPy;
• Strong software engineering practices: agile development, unit testing, code reviews, and clean architecture;
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

What Could be an Advantage: 

• Understanding of financial markets, trading systems, or fixed income/volatility products;
• Prior experience in a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank;
• Background in building distributed systems, streaming data platforms, or event-driven architecture;
• Exposure to web-based visualization tools and data dashboards;
• Familiarity with asset pricing theory, statistics, or optimization algorithms;
• Experience using tools like ELK stack, Bitbucket, or infrastructure-as-code approaches.
