Role Overview

Our client is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to lead backend initiatives, shape system architecture, and drive long-term technical improvements. You will work on high-load, distributed systems and influence the overall backend strategy.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable architecture and coding standards
• Lead technical improvements and backend initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex issues in distributed environments
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and engineering leadership

Requirements

• 6+ years of PHP backend development experience
• Expert in MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Strong experience with API design, microservices, and high-load systems
• Proficient in unit and integration testing
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Experience with Symfony
• Knowledge of asynchronous or messaging architectures
• Background in data/statistical engineering
