About the Company

A German product company is developing a next-generation mapping network by combining AI, blockchain, and DePIN technologies. Leveraging the “Internet of Cameras” and decentralized data collection, the company is creating a scalable and privacy-focused mapping infrastructure. Their solutions are already used in the automotive industry, and now they are expanding with their first team in Bulgaria.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer (Node.js) to lead the development of backend components for real-time data processing, IoT integrations, and Web3 systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape architectural decisions, mentor team members, and contribute to building a truly innovative product.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable backend solutions and microservices

Optimize and integrate databases (MongoDB)

Provide technical guidance and support to junior/mid-level engineers

Participate in code reviews, QA, and automated testing

Drive architectural discussions on IoT integrations and Web3 components

Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional backend development experience
• Strong expertise in Node.js and proficiency in another programming language (Python preferred)
• Solid experience with MongoDB, database design, and software architecture best practices
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservice architectures
• Proficiency with Linux environments
• Previous experience working in Agile international teams
• Excellent English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with IoT devices, Web3 technologies, or real-time data processing
• Certifications in Agile or cloud technologies
