What you’ll do:

• Own database lifecycle management: installs, upgrades, patching, security, backups, and troubleshooting.
• Drive query performance improvements and conduct regular database health checks.
• Plan and execute database maintenance, scaling, and upgrade strategies.
• Partner with application teams to assess upcoming changes, perform impact analysis, and ensure smooth deployments.
• Automate database operations, deployment pipelines, and monitoring.
• Deploy, configure, and tune ClickHouse and ScyllaDB clusters to support high-performance analytics and transactions.
• Design efficient data models and pipelines in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support 24×7 operations.
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for database architecture and services.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
• Deep SQL knowledge and proven experience in query optimization.
• Hands-on expertise with replication strategies and backup tools.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL internals and performance tuning on Linux environments.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash) and comfort working with Linux filesystems and storage.
• Familiarity with ClickHouse or ScyllaDB is highly desirable.
