About the company

Our client is a forward-thinking fintech organization enabling businesses with innovative payment platforms. They are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of data architecture, lead complex data pipeline initiatives, and collaborate closely with analytics and data science teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and distribution.

Ensure the architecture supports high-volume, real-time data processing and analytics.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide structured, reliable data for insights and machine learning initiatives.

Lead data quality, governance, and compliance practices.

Optimize performance, scalability, and efficiency of data workflows.

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in data engineering with extensive cloud exposure.

Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud ETL/orchestration tools (Airflow, Spark).

Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and high-volume distributed data systems.

Hands-on experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure data services.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
