    Role Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Release Manager who will take full ownership of the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple products and environments. This role ensures that every release—standard, emergency, or configuration-related—is planned, coordinated, validated, and executed in a controlled and compliant manner.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee the complete release process for all platform products and configuration updates across UAT and production environments.

    Coordinate release planning, scheduling, and deployment activities while adhering to cluster-based release windows.

    Ensure each release meets readiness criteria including risk analysis, rollback strategy, stakeholder sign-offs, and deployment preparation.

    Maintain the Release Calendar and communicate release timelines clearly to internal teams.

    Lead CAB and ECAB discussions for standard and emergency changes, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

    Validate releases post-deployment, maintain release documentation, and oversee release closure activities.

    Track KPIs such as release success rate, rollback frequency, and defect trends.

    Support root cause investigations and assist in implementing corrective measures.

    Align Release Management procedures with ITIL principles across Change, Incident, and Problem Management.

    Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements throughout the release lifecycle.

    Introduce new release metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.

     

    Requirements

    Experience in Release Management, Incident Management, or a related role within software delivery environments.

    Solid understanding of ITIL practices, especially Change and Incident Management.

    Hands-on knowledge of Jira, Confluence, CI/CD processes, and release automation tools.

    Strong technical understanding of SDLC, QA workflows, deployment strategies, and CI/CD tooling.

    Familiarity with version control, pipeline orchestration, and automation tools is an advantage.

    Preferred Qualifications

    ITIL Foundation (or higher) certification.

    Experience working with Agile or SAFe environments.

    Understanding of risk management and compliance in regulated sectors.

    Experience with Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, Kubernetes.

    Continuous improvement mindset toward software engineering and release delivery processes.
