Operating in over 25 countries and delivering products across 85+ jurisdictions, the company offers top-quality Casino Games, Sportsbook solutions, and a robust gambling platform. With ongoing expansion, they’re now looking for a seasoned automation expert to lead innovation within their Platform & Payments division.

About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Performance Engineer to lead the performance strategy and ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of a complex, high-traffic iGaming platform. In this senior role, you’ll be responsible for building and executing performance testing frameworks, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and collaborating across teams to continuously improve system health and user experience.

This is a highly impactful role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments and enjoys solving large-scale system challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement performance testing strategies across load, stress, capacity, and scalability use cases
• Use tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6 to simulate realistic traffic patterns
• Analyze system metrics and logs to detect bottlenecks, latency, and failure points
• Deliver detailed performance reports and propose actionable solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, QA, and architecture teams to optimize application code, infrastructure, and databases
• Tune performance across system layers — backend, APIs, databases, and integrations
• Improve performance observability with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack
• Define performance KPIs and benchmarks and track them over time
• Evaluate the performance impact of third-party services such as payment gateways and game providers
• Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and forecast system needs
• Document test plans, results, and remediation strategies clearly and thoroughly
• Provide guidance and mentorship to QA and development teams on performance best practices

Your Background

• 5+ years of experience in performance and automation testing
• Expertise in tools like JMeter, Gatling, k6, or equivalent
• Strong programming or scripting experience in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics)
• Solid understanding of SQL and database performance tuning techniques
• Experience with performance monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk)
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach
