About the Role

We are seeking a Performance Engineer to join their growing technology team. In this role, you’ll ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and reliability across complex, high-volume payment systems. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to test, monitor, and tune both infrastructure and applications for maximum efficiency and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute performance testing strategies: load, stress, and capacity testing

Use tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, and OctoPerf to simulate traffic and analyze behavior

Identify performance issues via logs and metrics: bottlenecks, latency, or failures

Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and DevOps to optimize code, queries, and systems

Create real-time dashboards with Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk

Define KPIs and lead regular benchmark testing

Integrate performance testing into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)

Contribute to cloud-native, scalable system designs

Document test plans, results, and optimization suggestions

Your Background

5+ years of experience in performance and automation testing

Proficient with JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload, or OctoPerf

Strong scripting skills: Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript

Experience with performance monitoring platforms: Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic

Strong SQL knowledge and database tuning experience

Familiar with Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus for observability

Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools

Experience with public cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure

Nice to Have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Certifications in performance testing tools or cloud services

Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and network latency optimization

Awareness of security in the context of performance tuning
