About the Role

We are seeking a Performance Engineer to join their technology team. In this role, you’ll ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and reliability across complex, high-volume payment systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, monitor, and tune infrastructure and applications for high efficiency and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance testing strategies, including load, stress, and capacity testing
• Use tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, and OctoPerf to simulate traffic and measure system behavior
• Analyze logs and metrics to identify bottlenecks, latency issues, or failures
• Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and DevOps teams to optimize code, queries, and infrastructure
• Implement real-time monitoring and alerting dashboards using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk
• Define performance KPIs and conduct regular benchmark tests
• Ensure seamless integration of performance testing into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Work with architects to design scalable, cloud-native systems
• Document test plans, results, and recommendations

Your Background

• 5+ years of experience in performance and automation testing
• Proficient in tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, Neoload, or OctoPerf
• Strong scripting skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience with performance monitoring platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic)
• Solid SQL skills and experience with database tuning
• Familiarity with observability stacks like Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus
• Hands-on with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure

Nice to Have 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field
• Certifications in performance testing tools or cloud platforms
• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and network latency optimization
• Awareness of security considerations in performance tuning
