Your Role

As a Data Infrastructure Engineer / DataOps Specialist, you will be part of the team responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing large-scale database infrastructure. Your work will focus on improving platform performance, supporting development teams with database best practices, and contributing to the design of the company’s next-generation data architecture. You will use tools like Ansible, Git, Grafana, Python, and others to automate and monitor complex data environments.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and optimize existing database servers and infrastructure

Provide support and technical guidance to development teams regarding database usage

Monitor implementations and identify opportunities for performance tuning

Collaborate with developers to improve data-related code and application performance

Take part in the architectural design of future data platforms

Use automation and monitoring tools to streamline operations and ensure system stability

Requirements

2–4 years of experience as an infrastructure DBA or in a DataOps role managing Oracle, Vertica, Cassandra, MySQL, or MariaDB – must

2–3 years of proficiency working with Linux servers – must

2+ year of automation using Python and/or Ansible – must

Ability to work both independently and in a team – must

Strong motivation to learn, improve, and stay updated on new tools and technologies – must

Nice to Have

Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, Kubernetes)

Hands-on experience with AWS or VMware

Knowledge of AWS data platforms

Familiarity with ETL pipelines

Performance tuning and issue debugging experience

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
