Duties of the role:
Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and distribution across the organization.
Support the development of a scalable and reliable data architecture aligned with evolving business needs.
Partner closely with data scientists and analysts to deliver clean, well-structured data that enables meaningful analysis and insights.
Apply and promote best practices in data quality, reliability, and performance throughout the data lifecycle.
Continuously optimise data workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
Ensure robust data security and compliance with relevant privacy and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Required skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
3+ years of experience working as a Data Engineer, with hands-on exposure to cloud-native data platforms.
Proficiency in data-focused programming languages, such as Python and SQL.
Practical experience using Airflow and Apache Spark within a cloud-based environment.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider — Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, capable of working efficiently with cross-functional teams.
