Tableau Data Visualization Specialist

The Role

Pwrteams is currently looking to hire an experienced Data Visualization Specialist with a strong background in Tableau for the Reporting & Visualization (R&V) department of a large multinational company in Consumer Electronics.

This role is critical for enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage, optimize, and innovate data visualization and reporting processes, ensuring seamless delivery of analytics solutions while driving operational efficiencies.

As part of your responsibilities, you will act as a technical expert, mentor, and advocate for best practices within a self-service analytics environment. Your contributions will have a significant impact on both business operations and the wider internal data visualization community.

What you’ll do:

Data Preparation & Management:

• Enable, maintain & prepare Tableau data sources on our Tableau cloud instance

Innovation & Technical Pipeline:

• Take ownership and manage the problem management process, conduct reviews to minimise major incidents. Hold periodical reviews of active problems
• Manage the innovation and technical pipeline and escalated problems, working to prioritise solutions from the technical backlog
• Assist with service delivery, including migrating, upgrading, or decommissioning reporting environments

End-User Support & Enablement:

• Facilitate license ordering and user onboarding
• Interact actively within the internal community to advocate for and standardize best practices in self-service environments
• Create and provide data visualization internal trainings

Reporting & Dashboard Development:

• Use Tableau to quickly and expertly generate compelling, interactive visualizations across various data sources
• Develop complex commercial-grade dashboards, helping moving away from manual reporting processes

Operational Excellence:

• Provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements in analytics processes
• Drive automation initiatives to enhance reporting tools and underlying technologies

What we’re looking for:

Technical Expertise:

• 3–4 years of Tableau Desktop / Tableau Creator experience.
• Proficiency in SQL for effective data handling and transformation.
• Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Tableau prep) and Snowflake (preferred).
• Experience using Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) is a plus.

Project Management & Collaboration:

• Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively across diverse business functions such as IT, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR.
• 1–2 years of experience collaborating with global, multicultural teams.

Collaboration Tool Familiarity:

• Experience with issue and project tracking tools (Jira, Asana) is advantageous.

Soft Skills:

• Strong social and presentation abilities to engage with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• A proactive problem-solver with a passion for innovation and process improvement.

Education:

• BS or MS in Statistics, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related technical field or equivalent industry expertise.
