Data Engineering Intern

PROS is seeking a talented and motivated Data Engineer Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data engineering, work on real-world projects, and contribute to our data-driven initiatives.

This internship provides a holistic experience, allowing interns to target various aspects of data engineering. PROS encourages creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Engineer ETL processes gathering external data into the PROS Data Platform.
• Collaborate with the Data Platform and Data Science teams to set up and maintain various ETL processes for our internal data warehouse.
• Identify and guide internal, data-guided process improvement analyses across cross-functional groups.
• Code and construct analyses and data visualizations to expose operational data internally.
• Work closely with other engineers and data scientists to ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Assist in developing and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and databases.
• Participate in discussions related to data architecture and design.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and SQL.
• Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and database management.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Passion for working with data and a desire to learn and grow in the field of data engineering.
