The Progress Telerik UI for Blazor engineering team is expanding and seeking a leader who can grow, support, and manage our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is an exciting opportunity offering hands-on involvement in hiring and team development, technical leadership, and strategic collaboration with a global product team.
In this role you will:
Manage a diverse, cross-functional local team of 10 engineers, supporting their growth in alignment with business objectives
Drive collaboration with international peers across engineering, product, support, and marketing
Help define and align product and engineering strategic priorities
Guide the team through all stages of product development with clear technical direction
Make informed hiring and compensation decisions in line with team and business needs
Encourage open communication, seek team input, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Champion major engineering initiatives within the Telerik UI for Blazor group and within the Web Division in the company
Support team development by recognizing achievements and coaching underperformance
Apply SDLC methodologies, including SAFe and Scrum
Your background:
Solid experience with C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, as well as R&D experience in software engineering across development, QA, or related roles
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions
Proven experience managing small to mid-sized inclusive engineering teams
Strong leadership record on engineering projects and initiatives
Experience mentoring both junior and senior engineers
Background working with automation, cloud technologies, or DevOps practices
Comfortable working with remote teams in fast-paced environments
Demonstrated ability to guide diverse, cross-functional teams to successful outcomes
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to foster strong working relationships across teams and leadership levels
