We’re looking for a Development Lead who combines strong technical expertise with hands-on leadership. You’ll drive engineering excellence across our stack, guide architectural decisions, and lead a talented team of developers to deliver high-quality, scalable software.

This role is perfect for someone who loves coding but also thrives on mentorship, strategic thinking, and making an impact that extends beyond the codebase.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the technical direction and architecture of core systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Drive the evolution of our backend services (Node.js, built with JavaScript/TypeScript) and mobile app (React Native) across iOS and Android.
• Act as the go-to technical lead on cross-functional projects, collaborating with Product, Design, and Operations to shape solutions from concept to delivery.
• Mentor and grow engineers through coaching, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Champion engineering best practices — from CI/CD to testing, monitoring, and deployment.
• Identify and address bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for innovation across the platform.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology with company goals and customer needs.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that values quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Must have requirements:

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including time spent in a leadership or tech lead capacity.
• Proven expertise in Node.js backend architecture, with strong hands-on experience in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Solid experience building and shipping React Native apps at scale.
• A track record of mentoring engineers and elevating team performance.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical quality, delivery speed, and business priorities.
• Deep familiarity with modern DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you can translate complex ideas across both technical and non-technical teams.
• A passion for clean, reliable code and for building products that make a tangible impact.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
• Background in fintech, payments, or other customer-facing platforms.
• Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment.
