Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria is growing. You will be able to work with different teams within the PHOENIX Group in Europe, being involved in projects related to SAP, Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, OCC, Business Intelligence, ERP, and CRM Solutions. We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer LAN and Wifi to join our international team in Sofia.
Your Responsibilities:
• Design and implement innovative, decentralized Network and Security solutions, while also enhancing existing solutions in collaboration with the team and external partners.
• Develop comprehensive concept and operational documents.
• Operate the Cisco/(Aruba) based Site LAN service for our European internal customers, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Help in finding solutions for the integration or replacement of the LAN (and Wifi) infrastructure of newly acquired country business units.
• Consult our internal European customers to identify their requirements and to create adequate solutions.
• Support the team in managing other services such as Wifi (Cisco, Aruba, Extreme), DDI (Infoblox), and NAC (Extreme).
• Engage in projects aimed at continuous improvement and maintaining up-to-date hardware infrastructure for our organization.
• Guarantee the availability of delivered solutions by participating in on-call duty, and occasionally working outside standard business hours, including weekends or public holidays for special changes.
Your Profile:
• Apprenticeship / study as IT specialist for system integration or comparable well-founded IT qualification
• Expertise in Enterprise Switching solutions from vendors, such as but not limited to Cisco Catalyst and Aruba/HP.
• Comprehensive understanding of LAN solutions, coupled with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Knowledge in the implementation and administration of Extreme/Aruba wireless infrastructure.
• An efficient, structured, and customer-centric approach to work, with a particular emphasis on handling critical situations.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to develop sustainable solutions through effective documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Good business- and technical level English skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel within Europe for site assessments and projects, constituting less than 10% of the role.
