Data Engineer

Our international IT Hub in Sofia, Bulgaria, is growing, and we’re looking for talented individuals to join us in the Data Engineer position. You’ll be part of an international team, working in a vibrant environment that encourages the exchange of knowledge and ideas both onsite and offsite.

As a data engineer, you will contribute to the development, design, and enhancement of our central data platform and data products using MS Azure technologies. Your work will involve supporting the architecture of scalable solutions that meet enterprise-level requirements and ensuring that platform and data products evolve in alignment with business needs.

Your Responsibilities:‎

• Collaborate on Data Pipeline Development: Work closely with customers and team members to design, build, and extend robust data pipelines. You will help transform business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of data products.

• Data Management and Integration: Assist in the collection, validation, processing, integration, and modeling of data from various sources. Implement best practices for data quality and consistency, ensuring that data is reliable and ready for analysis.

• Operational Support and Performance Optimization: Support the smooth and efficient operation of the platform. Help identify performance bottlenecks and assist in implementing solutions to enhance system responsiveness and reliability.

• Team Collaboration and Learning: Work collaboratively with junior and senior team members, fostering a learning environment that encourages professional growth. Your contributions will be important in driving team success and innovation.

• Optimize and Scale Big Data Solutions: Support the identification and resolution of performance issues in big data systems. Assist in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and architectures to handle increasing data volumes, optimizing processes for improved speed and resource utilization.

• Effective Communication: Utilize your communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language. Your ability to articulate ideas will be essential in driving stakeholder engagement and project success.

Your Profile‎:

• Good experience in data engineering or a related field.

• Good programming skills in Python or another scripting language .

• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Data Factory and Fabric.

• Understanding of data pipeline maintenance and monitoring.

• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.

• Ability to manage routine tasks and support ongoing projects.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
