We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) who combines hands-on testing with strategic leadership in quality processes. The primary focus of this role is to drive and optimize testing processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability, while also mentoring the team to uphold best practices – without direct managerial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and document comprehensive testing strategies for new features.
Conduct thorough testing of application functionality, performance, compatibility, and security.
Manage and maintain test documentation, including test plans and cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align process improvements with organizational and tribe-specific needs.
Perform routine tasks using AI tools (such as ChatGPT) to increase efficiency and streamline workflows.
Monitor and ensure data consistency across different environments, such as production and development.
Troubleshoot and test against systems like Elasticsearch, databases, and API endpoints as required by the backend team.
What we’re looking for:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer and leadership experience, with a focus on backend systems.
A solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) with hands-on experience in Scrum and Kanban, and a good understanding of Agile methodologies.
Experience with testing management and defect-tracking tools like Jira, TestRail, and Postman.
Familiarity with backend technologies, databases, Elasticsearch, and system integrations.
Basic scripting skills (SQL or other backend scripting languages) to facilitate debugging and setup of testing environments.
Proficiency in writing and maintaining clear and concise test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
Knowledge of risk assessment and client data management processes, particularly in banking and finance domains.
API end point automation experience.
Fluent English communication skills, minimum Upper-Intermediate level.
Nice-to-Have:
Strong command-line skills for troubleshooting and debugging.
Familiarity with setting up and managing test environments using Docker containers.
Knowledge of tools such as RabbitMQ and experience working with transfer surveillance processes.
Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy, particularly in financial or fintech applications.
Familiarity with tools for managing active arrests, transfer inspections, and automated transaction processing.
Experience working in environments with automated systems for tasks such as transfer surveillance, transaction audits, and rule matching.
