We are currently looking for a Data Engineer, who will play a critical role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring the integrity and reliability of our data across its lifecycle. This position is central to enabling our company to make data-driven decisions, providing essential support for data analysis, reporting, and visualization. This fully remote role offers flexibility and the option to work from our office locations if preferred.
Your key responsibilities:
Design and construct high-performance data processing systems;
Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines for efficiency and scalability;
Implement automated data quality checks to ensure data integrity;
Manage and enhance data storage solutions, including both relational and NoSQL databases;
Develop and maintain ETL processes and integrate data from multiple sources;
Support data analysis, reporting, and visualization with BI dashboards and datasets;
Actively participate in the architectural council, contributing to the evolution of our data platform;
Expect to perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or a similar tool to enhance efficiency and productivity.
What we’re looking for:
Knowledge of Python, DBT and ClickHouse SQL is a must;
Experience with PostgreSQL, MariaDB and MS SQL;
Familiar with data processing tools like Apache Airflow, Pentaho;
Familiar with cloud data tools (Matillion, Snowflake, dbt cloud, Azure BLOB storage),
Expertise in developing dashboards and reports;
Strong communication skills to articulate data concepts to a varied audience;
Excellent problem-solving abilities to tackle complex data challenges;
Collaborative mindset to work effectively within and across teams;
Adaptability in a fast-paced FinTech environment;
Strategic thinking to contribute to long-term data initiatives;
Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools like Cursor, CLINE/RooCode, Windsurf, demonstrating a capability to seamlessly integrate these into daily tasks.
Nice-to-Have:
Experience as a Data Architect/ Data Modeler.
