We’re looking for an Issuing Product Manager to join Payforge’s delivery team, supporting a key client in the B2B card issuing and payments space. This role goes beyond traditional product ownership — you’ll drive the agenda with the client, shape the strategic roadmap, and influence how modern card issuing platforms evolve. You’ll collaborate closely with the client’s product organization and Payforge’s engineering teams to design, modernize, and scale core issuing capabilities that power digital and physical card programs.
Key Requirements:
Own and drive the product agenda with the client — proactively shaping priorities and guiding decision-making based on business objectives and market opportunities.
Define and evolve the core issuing platform strategy, ensuring scalability, compliance, and innovation across digital and physical card products.
Translate business goals into clear, actionable product requirements, and ensure alignment between product, engineering, and delivery stakeholders.
Act as the primary liaison between client product teams and Payforge’s technical delivery teams to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and differentiating opportunities in the card issuing and processing space.
Oversee the delivery of end-to-end features — from ideation and specification to testing, release, and post-launch analysis.
Maintain high standards of documentation, writing BRDs, user stories, and detailed product specifications.
Drive continuous improvement in product and delivery practices using Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Skills & Experience
Experience: 5+ years of product management experience in card issuing, fintech, or digital banking.
Proven experience building or scaling a card issuing platform, preferably in B2B or enterprise contexts.
Deep understanding of key issuing use cases, including: corporate and commercial cards, virtual and physical card provisioning, spend controls and card lifecycle management, BIN sponsorship, tokenization, 3DS, and PCI-DSS compliance
Familiarity with payment networks (Visa, Mastercard), card processors, and KYC/AML or onboarding integrations.
Strong ability to bridge business and technical domains, communicating effectively with engineers, architects, and non-technical stakeholders.
Expertise in writing clear and structured business and technical documentation (BRDs, user stories, process flows).
Solid grasp of Agile delivery and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Proven experience of working directly with software development teams.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills in a client-facing environment.
